SOLID TIMBER FLOORING

 

SOLID HARDWOOD FLOORING manufactures a unique timber flooring system that reproduces all the aspects of a traditional timber floor in various species of both Australian and Imported timbers, including Jarrah, Taun, Tasmanian Oak, Victorian Ash, Chestnut, Blue Gum, Northern Silky Oak, Kempas, Rosewood, Blackwood & Northern Box. All timbers are kiln dried to manufacturer's specifications to minimise on-site expansion and contractions. The timber boards are produced in widths that range from 85mm to 135mm.

SOLID HARDWOOD FLOORING is ideal for both domestic and commercial flooring: Houses, Apartments, Offices, Restaurants, Hotels and Retail Outlets where high traffic areas are prevalent.

SOLID HARDWOOD FLOORING boasts 3 generations in timber flooring. The system has been successfully utilised throughout Australia for over 12 years. The system assists the Forest Industry in their efforts to sustain the precious resource of timber.


PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

NAME: Solid Timber Floor Covering.

SYSTEM: Solid timber flooring overlay.

APPLICATION: Suitable for a wide range of both domestic and commercial installations, including shops, restaurants, recreation floors (gymnasiums), offices, public halls (schools, theatres) etc.

SIZE: Overall thickness installed:
Domestic - 14mm (approx.) Commercial - 14mm (approx)

TOP (WEAR) LAYER: Solid timber overlay floor boards, matching the wear layer thickness of 19mm Tongue & Groove. Widths - 85mm - 135mm depending on timber response.
Timber strip boards are pre-sanded. A light sand is required on installation.
Timber strip boards are pre-glued. Adhesion to glued underlay, when fixed in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions, is immediate.

TIMBER SPECIES: Jarrah, Taun, Tasmanian Oak, Victorian Ash, Chestnut, Blue Gum, Northern Silky Oak, Kempas, Rosewood, Blackwood & Northern Box.

UNDERLAY: Exterior grade ply and optional "Cellair" acoustic foam. SHF also has available solid cork rubber underlay matting designed to maximise insulation; acoustic performance; and impact absorption.

ADHESIVE: Latex adhesive. This provides an extra water resistant membrane between timber strips And sub-floor.
Properties: * Water resistant * Non-flammable * Rubber Latex * Non-toxic

SUB-FLOORS: All solid smooth dry sub-strata including: Concrete, Chipboard, Tiles, Timber, Vinyl. Minimal floor levelling preparation is required.
• A plastic membrane is laid on all concrete floors as an added safeguard against residual moisture in concrete slabs.
• Can be installed over heated concrete slabs after on site conditioning.
• SHF can moisture seal most concrete slabs.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES: Underlay can be secured to sub-floor or remain unfixed according to customer specifications. Manufacturer's installation procedure allows for an expansion gap of approximately 12mm at perimeter of installation area. Expansion gap will be covered by LHF beading.

Option 1: If Beading is not a suitable option we can cut your flooring in neat to skirtings and finish with a silicone bead around perimeter. This can only be done when the underlays are secured to the sub-floor.

Option 2: Skirtings to be removed and timber to installed under skirtings.

FINISHES: Matte, Satin, Gloss or Semi Gloss Polyurethane.
Properties: * Optional finish * Non-toxic * Low maintenance

SANDING: Suitable for re-sanding as per Australian Standards for solid timber flooring.

PACKAGING: Shrink - Wrapped for safe, dry transportation

MAINTENANCE: Refer to manufacturer's guide

WARRANTY: Conditional for 10 years, covering failure of the components in the flooring system. Refer your supplier for details.

 

DRY RECYCLED AIR & DIRECT SUN LIGHT MAY CAUSE SHRINKAGE AND DISHING OF TIMBER. * AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT AT ALL COSTS!
